On the Searle trail: I'm trying to trace the family of Prof. Robert H Butman who taught at Haverford College between the mid 50s to the 1980s. I found his obituary with family members but I'm stuck there unable to find them. Anybody experienced at tracking descendants? I'm hoping to find his son Christopher John James Butman.

ReplyDeleteThe UK electoral registers for 2012-13 list a Chris Butman living at 39, Heidelberg Road, Southsea, Hampshire, PO4 0AS; age range 31-35. Could this be him? He'd been at that address for 2 years when his name appeared on that roll.

Thanks for the sleuth work Paul. I'm assuming the family stayed Stateside-at least the immediate family. I think his son would be older than that too.
