Happy Holidays!

This lovely Christmas card must've been the inspiration for the Puffin Songbook or vice versa.

The Christmas card is for 1961 according to “Ronald Searle Remembered”.

“The Puffin Song Book” was originally published in hardcovers in the 50s with a completely different jacket. It was reprinted in 1961 as a paperback, and 1961 was also when Kaye Webb, Searle’s current wife, took over the running of Puffin.
