Notice that none of them are still alive. I find that a lot of artists never mention living contemporaries as an influence.

Kennethe Mahood is still alive and there will hopefully be some more "live" cartoonists appearing in due course. We are talking about late 1950s though, so that's fifty years ago at the very least.
